Terms of Use
Last updated October 22, 2026
The short version: this is a free tool for drawing a squares grid with friends. It never touches money. Pools are saved online so players can pick from their own phones. Whether your pool is legal where you live is up to you to check.
What this site is
Super Bowl Squares (“the site”) is a free tool, run by TODO-NAME, for setting up a squares pool: entering players, claiming squares, drawing numbers and finding each quarter’s winner. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The site doesn’t handle money
The site does not collect, hold, transfer or pay out money, and it isn’t a gambling service. Amounts you type in (price per square, pot, payouts) are just numbers on the sheet. Any money that changes hands between people in a pool is entirely an arrangement between them, and the site has no part in it.
Check the rules where you live
Laws on sports pools differ by country, state and city. Some allow small social pools among friends, some restrict them, and some prohibit them entirely, especially when the organizer keeps a share. You are responsible for making sure your pool is legal where you and your players are. Don’t use the site for any pool that is illegal where you are, or to run a pool as a business.
You must be old enough to take part in a pool under your local law to use the site for one involving money.
Saved pools and links
Pools are saved online and opened with links. The commissioner link controls the pool, and each player link lets that player pick their own squares, so treat them like keys: anyone who has one can use it. Marking a player unpaid turns their link off. The service is provided as is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or that a pool can’t be lost, so keep your own record (a screenshot works) of the filled board, the drawn numbers and the winners.
Drawing numbers
Numbers are shuffled once, on the server, using the database’s built-in random number generator, so every sheet shows the same draw. It’s fine for a friendly game, but it isn’t certified or audited. The person running the pool is responsible for running it fairly and settling any disagreements with their players.
Not affiliated with the NFL
The site isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Football League or any team. “Super Bowl” and NFL team names are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to describe the game a pool is based on. Team names on a sheet are whatever you type in.
Using the site fairly
- Don’t try to break, overload or interfere with the site.
- Don’t use it to mislead or defraud anyone, including your own players.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, be unavailable, or change at any time.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TODO-NAME is not liable for any loss arising from using the site, including lost or disputed winnings, lost data, or disagreements between people in a pool.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of TODO-STATE, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
